The project intends to reduce the vulnerability of the communities predominantly Santhal, caused by the ruthless open cast mining and stone crushing in the bordering districts of Jharkhand and West Bengal. Project activities will focus on improving health conditions, livelihood opportunities and food security levels, environment, education and strengthen the civil society in close co-operations with likeminded organizations working in the region.
