NMS-Tamar Campaign Project

TCP Phase 2 builds on outcomes and lessons learnt from phase 1 (2018 – 2021),. It contributes to engaging target churches in gender responsive initiatives by mobilizing own resources in such a way that all forms of violence against girls and women are eliminated in the church structures and communities. TCP  instrumentalises the Contextual Bible Study Methodology (CBS) and biblical texts addressing Gender Based Violence (GBV), particularly the story of Tamar, as a model of transformation. Former TCP facilitators will be trained as Ambassadors, who also train and mentor new facilitators in conducting CBS in target congregations. Experience sharing and network meetings will inspire the churches to institutionalize and adopt the Tamar Campaign as a model of gender responsive transformation. This project is implemented by NMS in three countries; Madagascar, Cameroon and Ethiopia
