Strengthen the socio-economic and environmental resilience of selected communities in Ethiopia and Madagascar through promoting sustainable Bamboo and natural fiber value chains and fuel-efficient stoves. This is a project on Bamboo for increased environmental and climate change resilience and a source of sustainable development for selected communities in Madagascar and Ethiopia. The project will focus on connecting existing and new knowledge to strategies of sustainable economic development in the two countries. We will work in the interface between R&D and private business, thus aiming at answering how this kind of collaboration can succeed. The project will be managed by The Malagasy Lutheran Church (FLM) and the development wing of the Ethiopian Mekane Yesus Church (EECMY-DASSC) in the two countries. NMS will coordinate the cooperation and facilitate exhcange of knowledge and experience between them. The project will run from 2026 to 2028, and will build the foundation for possible further development in this sector for NMS and our partners.
