The Busoga Economic Empowerment Project (BEE Project) introduces bee-keeping and honey production to members of previously established Community Managed Savings Groups and Bonga Forums (youth empowerment groups) in economically depressed communities in the Busoga Sub-Region of Eastern Uganda. The aim of the project is to address issues related to social and economic poverty by providing participants the opportunity to diversify and strengthen their income sources. The project participants will be trained on all aspects of bee keeping and honey production and will have guaranteed purchase agreements with buyers
