This project will be the continuation of the ongoing innovation project STREEC. The STREEC PD describes the second and third phase of the STREEC project as follows:
Phase 2 of the project (after 2023) shall focus on enhancing the catchment area and dealing with the larger community to enhance the number of students once the practices and procedures are standardized. While the prime objective of the program shall be to enhance the number of annual students enrolled and enhance in entrepreneurship activities associated with such training, there shall also be a strong focus to move towards financial sustainability and models of sustainability may be tested in this phase. The end result of this phase should be an enhanced participation of students from a larger geographic area on a sustainable basis and moving towards a financially self-sustainable training centre with tapering/reducing grant support from DIGNI and/or other agencies with a clear visible horizon of the self-sustainable training centre in immediate future.
In the event of a third phase, based on the recommendation from the project evaluation, the model and program could be expanded to new geographical locations. Since a substantial learning curve would have been achieved, other training centres stand to gain from such learnings, experience, and mentorship.
